About the app
Choose an experience and play a curated local sound: gentle nature, ambient soundscapes, brown noise for focus, rain and thunder for sleep, a meditation timer, relaxing cat purrs, and more. Each experience opens with a brief prompt before playback and provides simple audio controls.
There are no accounts, ads, or required connection. Sounds are bundled with the app, so they are ready when you are.
How to use
Simple — open the app, then choose your experience.
Supported Android versions
- Minimum: Android 7.0 (API 24)
- Target / Compile: Android 16 (API 36)
Troubleshooting
- No sound during an experience — Make sure your device isn't in silent / Do-Not-Disturb mode and that media volume (not just ringer) is turned up; the app plays through the media audio stream.
- Text fades feel stuck / slow — Tap once to immediately reveal the current line, or tap twice rapidly to jump to the end of the fade-in sequence.
- App closes / crashes on launch — Confirm you're on Android 7.0 (API 24) or higher; older versions are not supported. Try clearing the app's storage under Settings > Apps > Subtle Distractions.
